Shrimp Fettucine Alfredo !

Hi All,

Here comes the original fettucine alfredo (commonly called white pasta) with some shrimp and of course.. a lot of calories :) its just heavy cream, butter and permesan.. cant replace any of this if you want the authentic alfredo sauce.
I have already posted the white pasta recipe replacing the cream with milk and maida.. chk out for that low calorie version too.

100 gms fettucine pasta
water to boil [ata

200 gms medium size shrimp
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic minced
3/4 cup heavy cream
4 - 5 tbsp grated parmesan
salt as needed
1 tsp pepper powder (white  preferably)
pinch of italian herbs (oregano, rosemary, sage etc)

  • Cook the pasta in lot of salted boling water until aldente .
  • Drain the water and keep aside

  • Heat a pan and add the butter. Once it melts add the minced garlic and saute for a minute.
  • Add the shrimp and saute it well . Sprinkle some salt and Cook on medium flame until done. Do not overcook.

  • Add the cream and mix well. Throw in the pepper and the herbs and let it come to a boil.

  • No add the parmesan and let it melt and incorporate well in the sauce,  Then add the boiled pasta and toss well so that it s coated in the sauce,

  • Turn off stove and transfer to plate and garnish with parsley and grated parmesan,
  • You can also replace shrimp with chicken.
  • The dish turns dry in sometime if there is not enough sauce. So better consume hot :)

Enjoy this rich and creamy yummy pasta.. See you soon with another one..

With Love,
