Ginger Garlic Paste !

Ginger Garlic Paste is one of the important ingredient in Indian cooking, be it for any north Indian curries or to marinate chicken or seafood it definitely enhances the flavor of the dish. Though ready made paste is available in almost all the stores i personally feel that homemade paste is fresh without any preservatives and very flavorful.
Try this simple quick homemade paste and you will never think about buying outside.

1 cup Garlic (Big Variety) approx 200 gms
1 cup chopped ginger approx 200 gms
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp oil
1 tsp salt

  • Peel ginger and wash it and chop to small pieces.
  • Peel garlic and grind it together with ginger salt, turmeric and little oil.
  • Salt and turmeric act as natural preservatives.

Points to be noted.

  • Transfer the ground to paste to a glass bottle only. Not any plastic container.
  • Store in fridge always.
  • Do not touch the paste with hand anytime during grinding or transferring it to bottle.
  • Always use a dry and clean spoon when you take for cooking. Close it tightly ans store it back immediately in fridge.
  • This way you can keep it fresh for 2 - 3 weeks.

And that's one professional click of my GG paste from my friend :P
It indeed looks awesome.. Love the color of my paste through her camera lens.

 With Love,
